[study-notes] Artificial Intelligence - Natural Language Processing

Natural Language processing is a collection of techiques that enables computers to understand “Human Language”

To do this a Computer has to analyse the language in different phases:

• Phonology - Its needed only if the computer is required to understand spoken language. Phonology is the study of sounds that make up words and is used to identify the words from sounds. Understanding speech is the primary area of interest.
• Morphology - This is the first stage of analysis that is applied to words, once they have been identified from speech, or input into the system. Morphology looks at the ways in which words break down into components and how that affects their grammatical status. For example, the letter “s” on the end of a word can often either indicate that it is a plural noun or a third-person present-tense verb. Read on…

When linux freezes

What to do if your system is not responding and gone into eternal freeze. You might be tempted to press the restart button on the CPU cabinet or will turn off the UPS.

The easiest trick is to directly communicate with the Kernel via /proc filesystem.

• Press Alt + SysRq/Prt Scr key and type REISUB

It will safely restart your PC with no loss of data.
